Part P & N.A.P.I.T Part P is an addition to the building regulations. It requires that works carried out in ‘Dwellings’, must be carried out by a competent person who is registered with one of the bodies (N.A.P.I.T) approved by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
N.A.P.I.T was formed in 1992 as the National Association for Professional Inspectors and Testers, with the aim of setting standards for industry. Since then N.A.P.I.T's role has evolved and expanded to be one of the fastest growing Government Approved register holders for Part P Registered Domestic Electrical Installers.
